Meeting the Ambassador!

Well, that was just amazing. Ambassador Huckabee was very personable as we sat in his office and talked for over a half hour.  Be in prayer for him as he doesn’t have a ceremonial position – it is a hard-working position.

He oversees 1500 employees here in Israel.  During very tense times this past year, when rockets fall from the sky, he communicated that it was rough whenever they would have to get up and run to the shelter up to five times during the night. That’s just something Americans don’t experience.

Part of his education was at Southwestern Baptist in Fort Worth in the 70’s. Jeff taught a class there a few years ago.  He shared with us where he and his wife bought their first home. He was very personable and warm.

He and Jeff had a lot of things in common regarding ministry, public service, love for Israel and personal goals.

He was serious, he was funny, he asked good questions and truly was interested in seeking Jeff’s input on “Replacement Theology”, which is taught in some seminaries, which deprecates the significance of Israel in the latter days.

The security was thorough, but everyone on the embassy compound was exceedingly friendly and accommodating.

Like I said, this was a truly amazing and meaningful visit.

Pray for Ambassador Huckabee.  He is God’s anointed “for such a time as this.”

In God’s unfailing love,

Louise
